Mague was born in Tampico, Tamaulipas, Mexico. She is a self-taught artist who began painting in l999, while living in Russia. She developed her artistic style following moves to London in 2001, and to New York in 2010, where she remains.
The artist’s work is based on intuition and reflects a continuing process of development and exploration within herself, inspired by her essence, roots, people and places. Her work invites us to consider the possibilities in our lives and not to feel judged by what we choose to be, or what we possess. Through her artwork she expresses and materializes her experiences and choices, reminding us that the consequences of actions can be warm and colorful companions.
